Your West Midlands Wedding- Page number 43 - June/July 2021 (Issue 74)

The bridesmaids wore blush pink sequin dresses from ASOS. On the morning of the wedding, we had By Ruth and her make-up team get us ready and they were fantastic. It was so lovely to have them there and be part of our morning. My dad seeing me in my wedding dress was lovely as I’d never seen him cry before. I also loved the speeches, our first dance and my mum getting me ready. Luke and the groomsmen chose black tuxedos from Next with grey waistcoats. Luke opted for braces and a different lining on the inside of his jacket to help him stand out. It was such an uncertain time. We’d already postponed our wedding once, and I was so worried even the day before that something would happen and stop us from going ahead. On the day, we couldn’t really believe it was finally happening and just loved every moment. We had to cut our numbers from 100 to just 30, but it ended up being intimate and amazing celebrating with family after such a long period of restrictions. Having a small wedding really gave us time to absorb and enjoy every second of the day. The best man told Luke not to turn around when I was walking down the aisle. I ended up stopping and called I’m here, but he still didn’t turn around until the very last second! I fell in love with an Essense of Australia dress called D2835 from Georgina Scott Bridal. It had so many beautiful elements and looked stunning from every angle. The detail on the neckline, the low back with bright sparkly lace detail and the train were exactly what I wanted.
