Your Surrey Wedding- December 2021/January 2022 (Issue 92)

I had my best friend Laurence as my man-of-honour, and he dressed to match the groomsmen. My three bridesmaids chose rose gold mid-length dresses which had sequinned bodices and chiffon skirts from Next. I felt panicked on the morning of the wedding. I was so scared to walk down the aisle, but my nine-year-old son stepped in and dragged me through the doors. Liam was so calm until he saw us walking down the aisle, and then he became emotional. We hired a DJ from Kool Kats Entertainment who we had used for my 30th birthday. They were amazing and really know how to get everyone up and dancing. They took requests and always made sure our guests were having a good time. Liam wore a navy three-piece suit with a rose gold tie and pocket square from Moss Bros. Saying ‘I do’ after such a long time felt like such a big achievement. Finding my dress was the most daunting part of the wedding. Two of my close friends booked me into a store in Morden, and they made me feel amazing. The dress wasn’t something I originally would have chosen as I’m self-conscious of my arms, however, I tried it on, and well after a lot of tears, I had my dress. REAL WEDDINGS 39
