Olivia and Matt met by complete chance one weekend in a shop in Wimbledon. “It was a real Sliding Doors moment we are so glad happened,” recalls Olivia. After romance blossomed, Matt proposed at Castle Leslie in Ireland at New Year. “The sun was just coming up by the lake, the ground was covered in beautiful frost and we were the only ones there – it was just perfect,” shares Olivia. The big date was set, 11th October 2025, with The Bush hotel setting the scene, “As I grew up in Farnham, it was lovely to get married in my hometown, and have the ceremony at the local Parish Church,” explains Olivia. “However, as Matt is from Northern Ireland, it was important that we chose a venue where all our guests could stay, and that had good transport links. The Bush was absolutely ideal for this, as well as being a beautiful backdrop for our day.” The couple decided not to choose a specific theme or colour palette, opting for just a few, carefully considered personal touches and soft, pale autumnal colours. “We used crystal bud vases on our tables with fresh flowers, combined with an assortment of candles in gold candlesticks decorated with ivory bows,” adds Olivia. “We had a beautiful floral arrangement over the porch of the church, as well as flowers decorating the interior. 32
