First and foremost, it’s about what you both want as a couple, a theme reflecting both of your personalities is always a good starting point when planning your wedding. Secondly, your venue, you may have a desired location that will govern the look and feel of the day, it may influence the colour palette too! You can check out our venue styling guide on page 53 which has some on-trend colour schemes which may take your fancy. I’m a huge fan of the Mediterranean-vibe, the hues are so warming so works at any time of year! Surprisingly, one of the ‘décor’ elements of your wedding reception will be the cake! This too should encompass your chosen theme, it provides a perfect opportunity to carry the cohesive look through the finer details. My fav cake trend at the moment is the Lambeth-style wedding cake, totally something I would choose if I were to renew my vows! Check out the cakes feature on page 47.
