A perfect match Becky and Mikey’s big day was a celebration of love, laughter and football Images courtesy of Vero J Photography Becky and Mikey met at Winchester University 11 years ago and bonded over a shared love of football, “We both had found great humour and laughter in conversations and were both tall!” adds Becky. “It was great to have a man who was still taller than me even when I wore heels.” Fast-forward to February 2022, when returning to Winchester, the couple were strolling along the river to the pub where they had their first date when Becky heard the all-important question. “It was outside the pub and by the river where Mikey got down on one knee and proposed,” shares Becky. “We then had lunch in the pub before checking into our room for the night and venturing out for a meal at Rick Stein Winchester. Two days later Mikey caught Covid so we literally stayed in our engagement bubble!” The date was set 17th August 2023, with The Barn at Botley Hill setting the scene.
