Your Sussex Wedding - August/September 2022 (Issue 98)

We went to explore the meadow with our photographer and videographer. It was a sunny, but windy day and my veil blew straight off, high into the sky. We thought we’d never see it again, but my dashing new husband ran after it and luckily it dropped to the ground just in time. Lauren caught the moment on camera, so we’ll always look back on it and laugh. We opted for an intimate wedding, so we all sat together on one long table – one big happy family. We chose wildflower seeds as favours to suit our woodland theme, as well as personalised notepads and pencils for guests to use during our reception games. We also supplied some happy tears tissues! We decided on green for the bridesmaids’ satin, strappy dresses, to complement the casual woodland vibe we were going for. Each bridesmaid accessorised slightly differently with a waist tie and jewellery. In the woods we enjoyed beautifully presented grazing platters, which suited our relaxed woodland venue and tasted delicious. In the evening, we had Thai food, which was also delicious. All of our food options had to be completely gluten free (as Ed is coeliac), with some dairy-free and vegan options. Our food suppliers went above and beyond to make sure these dietary needs were met. 35 REAL WEDDINGS
