We started to see the emergence of bolder palettes in 2025 and this year we’ll see this go even further with couples embracing colour to the max. Vibrant, rich hues will replace neutral and pastel-only schemes with bold blues, emeralds, ruby reds, sunset and citrus tones and expressive contrasts. We expect to see colour used with intention in décor, signage, tablescapes and attire. Weddings are becoming an immersive experience, and we’re here for it. GLOBAL Going Bethan’s and Bradley’s vision for their big day encompassed their favourite holiday hotpots including Barbados and the U.S. Images courtesy of Jade Greenbrooke Beth and Brad met a decade ago at Sussex Cricket Ground where Beth ran the bar. At the time, Brad’s brother was a professional cricketer and Brad would often hang out there. Although she was spoken for at the time, five years later, when she was single again, he showed up in her DMs in response to one of her posts. They met up to take a lockdown walk together and have been inseparable ever since. Brad proposed in Barbados in 2024. It was a special place for him having grown up taking family holidays there every year. “A sunrise stroll on our third day of the holiday turned into the best moments of our lives,” Beth shares. The couple visited just one venue and it was where they ultimately tied the knot. “We instantly fell in love with its uniqueness,” Beth explains. “When we walked into Architectural Plants and stood under those palm trees, we knew we’d found our Barbados wedding vision in Sussex!” Given the enormous character of the venue, the couple decided to lean into this and enhance the greenery already present. They opted for a Grecian theme with urns, linens, floaty florals and structural plants with olive trees and staggered cypresses in the wedding breakfast room. Meanwhile, romantic draping hydrangeas lined the ceremony aisle. As an extra special touch the couple penned poems for guests and used them as place cards. “One of the best things we did was play around with the traditional timings of the day,” Beth tells us. “We went straight from the ceremony into the wedding breakfast meaning we didn’t have a lull. We had live music in between courses and then moved to the lake at around 5pm for cocktail hour at sunset. It was absolutely perfect.” Chef Dan Matthews curated the pair’s dream menu. “We love the U.S. and two years ago took an amazing road trip from Austin to Nashville, so we decided to emulate this through our food,” Beth explains. The starter was a mixed board of options, followed by a taste of Texas barbecue of smoked beef brisket, slow cooked pork shoulder, Buffalo chicken, cauliflower steak and a selection of sides. The meal was finished with blondies and brownies served with espresso Martinis during their lakeside cocktail hour. The bride wore a Chosen by Kyha gown, which she personalised with extra draping on the skirt and detachable lace sleeves for the ceremony. She removed these for cocktail hour and added a Rebecca Tembo scarf. For the evening festivities, she bustled up her gown and added spaghetti straps before hitting the dancefloor. Brad meanwhile looked dapper in a custom dinner suit from Clements & Church including an initialled shirt. His party was dressed to match – their shirts also personalised with initials on the sleeve. Guitarist Sean Ahern set the atmosphere playing several sets throughout the day before the DJ took over in the evening. A saxophonist and trumpet player joined them during the chorus of their first dance song, Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You, and surprised everyone assembled. REAL WEDDINGS 25

Georgia and Antony met while working at a local primary school and had been together almost a decade when Antony popped the question in November 2023. Georgia was about to put the final bauble on their Christmas tree, when she turned to find Antony on one knee. Cottesmore Hotel Golf & Country Club immediately appealed to the couple when they discovered that they’d be able to celebrate their entire day in one place. Plus, the onsite accommodation made it a breeze to invite friends and family without worrying about where they’d stay. When Georgia tried on Mila by Justin Alexander at Blessings Bridal in Brighton, she immediately knew it was the one, having never felt so comfortable in a dress in all her life! Antony meanwhile, hired his attire from Dickies in Hove and chose a blue tweed suit with a grey and green waistcoat, sage green tie and pocket square and brown shoes to complete the ensemble. The groom’s party was dressed to match him, while the bridesmaids all wore sage green multi-way dresses allowing them to feel comfortable in a style they’d chosen. Settling on a sage green and pink palette alongside Antony, Georgia created centrepieces themed around the couple’s love of music. Each table was themed around a gig they’d attended during their 10 years together. With the addition of seat sashes, flower arches and beautiful bouquets, Georgia and Antony were able to see their wedding come together, looking even better than they’d imagined it. 32
“Our wedding ceremony was the highlight of our day,” Antony shares. “Being able to say, ‘I do’ with all our friends and families present will always be a special moment in our lives, and Cottesmore helped to make that a seamless and memorable time that we’ll cherish.” The food and drink supplied by the venue turned out to be a highlight of the day too. Beginning with canapés served during the drinks reception, the day’s treats continued with a wedding breakfast of soup, roast beef and sticky toffee pudding. “We already felt as though we’d been completely spoiled, but it didn’t end there!” Antony tells us, as a buffet was served in the evening to keep guests fuelled for the dance floor. The couple hired a photo booth to entertain guests, which was accessible throughout the day. Following the wedding breakfast incredible band The Lowdown kept celebrations going with a stellar setlist catering to all assembled including a playlist curated by the happy couple. Before we go, the couple have some wise words for all those still involved in the planning process: “Don’t let the stress of planning get on top of you, because on the day it all falls into place in the end.” REAL WEDDINGS 33

A soft, spring-inspired palette of lilacs, blues and blush pinks set the tone, with florals taking centre stage to reflect the season’s delicate beauty. Slindon House, a beautifully preserved 12th-century venue steeped in character and heritage, provided the effortlessly romantic backdrop. The ceremony takes place in the grand Main Hall, where soaring ceilings and rich purple hues perfectly complement the chosen pastel palette. Lush floral arches featuring hydrangeas, roses, lilies and delphiniums, framed the vows, and after the ceremony model couple Paige and Dan exited to a joyful biodegradable confetti throw. The wedding breakfast was served in the light-filled Orangery, once a butterfly house, with exceptional catering by Quinn’s Events, known for their refined, seasonal menus. The atmosphere here was transformed by the spring-inspired English Garden tablescape, showcasing spring florals, pastel tones, on-trend fruit details, and macarons along with a two-tier wildflower cake echoing the floral styling. Driving the shoot from behind the scenes, Rachel Pearson Photography captured the day on both digital and 35mm analogue film, with her signature blend of unobtrusive documentary storytelling and editorial elegance; letting the moments naturally unfold while creating space for the couple to pause and connect. In addition, the room has been painted to accentuate the beauty and enhance the features of the vintage and ornate décor of the ceiling and pillars. The Worthing Dome opened in 1911, and is one of Britain’s oldest cinemas. The building boasts vintage décor and original features making it a classic choice of venue in Worthing to say “I Do”. Our function rooms are spread across 3 levels, and have recently been refurbished. We are fully licenced to hold weddings for up to 60 people in the Atrium, and up to 150 people (standing) in the Main Lounge with access to our south facing balcony with views of Worthing Beach and Worthing Pier.
