Meesha and Lewis met at work as newly qualified pharmacists starting on the same day. “We bonded quickly over our coffee breaks together and our friendship grew into a relationship,” Lewis shares. Six months after buying their first home together, the couple decided to take a walk around their new village. While pausing by the duck pond, Lewis got down on one knee and asked Meesha to marry him. The couple wanted to get married locally in Sussex, as it’s where they both grew up. They viewed numerous venues together but found themselves comparing each one to Southend Barns. SETTING THE SCENE Having attended numerous weddings, the couple understood how important it was to be able to spend time together on such a big day, so they opted for a sweetheart table. “This allowed us to reflect on the day’s events so far, while being able to look out and see everyone we knew and loved. It was really special,” Meesha says. Southend Barns provided the floral centrepieces to match the Amber Sunset theme, they were also used to decorate the aisle.
