Your Sussex Wedding - April/May 2024 (Issue 108)

For the table plan I used a vintage Laura Ashley mirror, removed the glass and spray-painted the frame white giving it a shabby-chic finish. I then found some green floral table plan cards, which we printed and attached using twine and mini pegs. I was really pleased with the result! Our ceremony singer really set the tone for our day with her performance of I Choose You as I walked down the aisle. Guests commented on how beautiful it was and it really made the day that extra special and memorable. I wanted to personalise our wedding favours, so I created little boxes using craft paper from Amazon and filled them with mini, rose-scented heart wax melts, tea lights, and Love Heart sweets bearing our names. I wore a Tiffanys Bridal gown. I had a surprisingly easy ride as this was the first one I tried on. Fross from the boutique, Fross Collections, told me to try on more as each one would have to beat this, but none of them did. It just ticked all the boxes. Harry chose a two-piece suit, rather than a three-piece, as he didn’t want to overheat in the August sun. He paired this with brown brogues and a sage green tie to complement the bridesmaids’ dresses. Harry’s best man, my brother, wore the same. I always knew the bridesmaids would wear sage green but we had some challenges as they all had very different body shapes. So, the mission was finding something they’d all be comfortable in. The final choice was a floor-length, drop shoulder style, with a gorgeous flattering fit. 44
