Your South Wales Wedding - January/Feburary 2023 (Issue 89)

After a busy festive break celebrating with friends and family, it’s finally time to say hello to 2023. I hope you all had a lovely time and for those of you who received a ring underneath the Christmas tree – congratulations! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we know that many more of you will be getting engaged soon and we can’t wait to help you plan your special day. In every issue, we focus on the latest trends, get advice from local experts, see must-have bridal fashion and showcase exciting news from across South Wales. If you’re unsure where to start planning, I found the best thing to do when I got engaged was to make a list of everything that you’d like to include in your day. From the big things like the venue and photographer down to the smaller details such as the cake topper and jewellery, write it all down. Now don’t panic if the list is a couple of pages long, not everything needs to be done right away and you can always change your mind. The list is there so you can see what items are important to you and to help you focus on one thing at a time. For some couples, the photographer may be the most essential supplier and for others, it may be the entertainment, however you envision your day is absolutely fine, just make sure you focus on what’s meaningful to you. Once you have your list, you can begin planning. Always start with your venue, as this will dictate the day and time that you’re getting married. Once you have that set in stone, you can begin researching and booking the rest of your suppliers. If you’re looking for finishing touches, ideas for dressing the bridal party or venues in Cardiff, then you’re in luck, as this issue is full of inspiration. If you’d like to have your wedding or a shoot featured, you can submit it at melissa.cullen@kdeventsandpublishing.com or www.yoursouthwales.wedding/get-involved-real-wedding Melissa x Melissa Cullen, Senior Editor Make your entrance in style in a fabulous fishtail dress or a fairytale-inspired ballgown.
