Your South Wales Wedding - January/Feburary 2023 (Issue 89)

Bella Cakes provided our big-day bake which wa s three tiers and made up of Victoria sponge, champagne, and raspberry a nd white chocolate. We topped it with a cat-themed cake topper which we purchased from Etsy. Not only did Best Buds by Samara provide the bouquets, buttonholes, corsages and thank you posies for Matthew’s mother and grandmothers, she also created the most gorgeous top table floral display. We hired a hexagonal arch from her, which we got married in front of and later used as a backdrop for the wedding breakfast and reception. Fairyhill provided the chair covers, candles and floral centrepieces, as well as the aisle décor, which we were so gratefu l for. The grounds at Fairyhill were beautiful, and the reception space took our breath away. The fact that people could go to smaller lounges and chat, as well as have the main space to dan ce, was a big positive. Fairyhill is also cat friendly which was a big attr action for us as we wanted our cat, Trevor, involved in our day. Amy Jones from Jones & Joy designed our table plan, invitations, place names, table names and a memorial sign that we placed on a chair reserved for my mother during the ceremony. We couldn’t recommend Amy enough. She created the perfect minimalist wedding stationery, which was exactly what we wanted. We had a life-size cut out of George Michael, tha t went down a storm with our guests! 48
