Your South Wales Wedding - September/October 2022 (Issue 87)

Summer loving We adore this pastel-themed styled shoot at Penpont Images courtesy of Kate Richards Photography When this styled shoot first appeared in our inbox, we just knew that our lovely readers would adore it. To find out more about how it came together, we spoke to the organiser Kirsten Tanner from Queen of the Meadow. She tells us: “South Wales has so many wonderful wedding suppliers, so I thought it would be a great idea to showcase their talents. Using seasonal flowers was very important to me, Penpont has a certified organic walled garden, so some of the flowers came from there, others were grown by Blue Hill Flora, and the rest were grown by myself. “Penpont has so many lovely places to photograph, and Kate Richards Photography used her expert eye to find the most beautiful spots to take pictures. Along with having a Georgian façade, the house has a bridge, river, walled garden, rose garden and numerous courtyards and pastel-coloured outbuildings that we used as backdrops. Megan & Claude chose pieces from their collection to style each area of the grounds. “Our bride wore pieces chosen especially by Waxflower Bridal from their Bowen Dryden Collection, including a big, flouncy skirt and a silk-embroidered trouser suit. The groom’s outfit by Hanson – The Clothes People complimented these perfectly. “Joanne at Miss Havisham’s Cakes provided three incredible wedding cakes, which had the most amazing details. Joanne’s work is always elegant, and we took time to add flowers to the cakes, including roses from the walled garden.” 67 REGIONAL SHOOT
