Your South Wales Wedding - September/October 2022 (Issue 87)

I wore a gown called Celestina by Sophia Tolli, which I purchased from Cardiff Bridal Centre. The ivory fit-and-flare dress had a V-neckline, beaded straps, a floral crepe and a beautiful long Chantilly lace train. I accessorised with a floral hair vine and a beaded chapel-length veil. The groomsmen opted for three-piece Italian fitted suits in steel grey with blush pink ties and handkerchiefs. Mike wore a white waistcoat to stand out, while the others had steel blue versions. We hired a pianist who played while the guests arrived and as I walked down the aisle. We also had mini-golf which entertained the children and adults while the photographs were being taken. The best thing we booked was the singing waiters that only Mike and I knew about. They were undercover from the start and were serving drinks and food at the wedding breakfast. They were so in character that we forgot that they were there! One of the waiters pretended to fall. which got everyone’s attention and then started to sing. They got our guests singing and dancing and it was great to see our loved ones having such a good time. In the evening, we had a DJ and sax player. I booked the sax player as a surprise for Mike, which went down a treat. Once it got dark, we had sparklers, which created a fantastic photo opportunity. 37 REAL WEDDINGS
