Your South Wales Wedding - May/June 2022 (Issue 85)

OUR TOP TIPS ❤ Your wedding will pass by in a flash by which point you could well finish the day realising you’ve barely seen each other! A little alone time as you journey from ceremony to celebrations will be something you’ll cherish. Even if your big day is happening all in one location, ask your transport provider if they can factor in a short excursion for the both of you, postceremony. Take your photographer and you can also capture some great couple shots. ❤ Most transport suppliers have a few vehicles and make it their policy to book only one wedding per day, so that they’re all yours and you’re not clock watching. This does mean that they’ll get booked up well in advance, so start looking early to avoid disappointment. ❤ Be prepared! Make sure umbrellas are on board if it rains. We love those shots of brides exiting elegant cars under cover or a brolly held by a sharply dressed chauffeur. It’s so Downton Abbey! ❤ Look for transport suppliers that offer chauffeurs dressed in full super-smart attire – an extra way to bring an element of elegance and grandeur to your big day. ❤ Carefully consider how long it will take to get from A to B. Just because your own car can make the trip in 10 minutes, doesn’t mean a horse and carriage or vintage car will. These modes of transport will be restricted on speed and may need to take an alternative, longer route. Also, check on the radius your supplier covers. ❤ One thing to bear in mind when opting for vintage vehicles is the reliability. The last thing you want on your wedding day is to break down on your way to the ceremony. Find a reputable supplier, and don’t be afraid to ask questions about how they look after their vehicles. ❤ Check with your supplier what’s included in the price quoted, as some will charge extra to wait for photos, whereas others will offer this as part of the service. You don’t want any nasty surprises to mess with your W-day schedule, so it’s always best to make sure. ❤ Is your vehicle kitted out for its VIP passengers? A bottle of bubbly and some glasses to toast your commitment is definitely in order. 67 TRANSPORT
