Your South Wales Wedding - May/June 2022 (Issue 85)

Craig arrived in a traditional white Volkswagen Campervan because one of our favourite things to do together is travel in our own campervan. I chose to arrive in a party bus, so I could travel with my parents and the bridal party in the same vehicle. We had such a laugh, and it removed any pre-wedding nerves. Craig wanted to wear a completely black suit for our wedding. This look was actually inspired by Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, where there is a brief scene of him in a suit. The ushers wore black suits with white shirts from Dyfed Menswear. We chose a very classic style to match the traditional vibe of our venue. The wedding breakfast provided by Craig y Nos Castle was delicious, we chose a three-course menu with a range of dishes, and every single one of our guests praised the food. We chose to have an ice-cream tricycle from Tricycle Treats after our ceremony. Our evening buffet, also provided by Craig y Nos Castle, was an absolute hit with our friends and family. We have never heard people discuss potato wedges so much, but according to a number of our loved ones, they were sensational! The bridesmaids wore lace tea-length black dresses from Dresstell. They accessorised with black shoes and silver jewellery. The dresses suited everyone, and I chose the most comfortable shoes possible as I wanted the girls to wear them all day and night. I went dress shopping with an idea in my mind and left with the complete opposite! Initially, I wanted to get married in black, but when I tried on my dress, I knew it was the one when I didn’t want to take it off and my mother cried. In the evening, Los Devitos provided the entertainment. They were fantastic and even learned a few new songs for us! Our guests loved them, the dancefloor was never empty, and we all had so much fun.
