Your South Wales Wedding - May/June 2022 (Issue 85)

The centrepieces were silver urns and lanterns sup plied by The Dancing Daffodil. They decorated them with lilac, purple a nd pink flowers, including my favourites, lavender and peonies. My very talented cousin made our table plan. She managed to incorporate sketches of Boomer and our two rabbits into the design. For our favours, we gave our guests shortbread heart-shaped biscuits dipped in chocolate from Centre Stage Cakes and badges from the Alzheimer’s Society. Our cake was also from Centre Stage Cakes, which was amazing! I sent Alison a copy of our invitations, and she managed to recreate the buttercream flowers climbing up the three tiers. We loved it! Our golden retriever, Boomer, was there for the day , so we included a basket of lint rollers with a message that said ‘with love from Boomer’. Oldwalls Gower is a beautiful venue that hosted o ur ceremony and reception all under one roof. The property could accommoda te overnight guests, and the alpacas were also a plus! We added extra touches where possible, including a ‘snap it, shake it and sign it’ guest book where our friends and family had access to an instant camera and could take a photo and include it as part of their message. 30
