Your South Wales Wedding - Page number 39 - July/August 2021 (Issue 80)

On the morning of the wedding, I was unbelievab ly excited! I drove to the venue early with my bridesmaids, and by the time I got my dr ess on, I couldn’t wait to see Matt! To keep everyone entertained, we hired Katie Bayl iss Harpist to play during the ceremony, and we had so many compliments about her music. The bridesmaids chose purple cowl back dresses that looked beautiful. My favourite moment was the first look. I stood at the top of the stairs, waiting to walk down and see Matt for the first time in my dress. Due to restrictions, we weren’t sure if our photographer would be able to walk around the room during the ceremony, so a few weeks before, we discussed having a first look. I met Matt and my parents at the bottom of the beautiful staircase, and I loved being able to hear his initial reaction as I wouldn’t have been able to if he’d been at the other end of the aisle. It was a really special moment, and I cannot recommend it enough! Matt opted for a navy suit from Slater Menswear in Cardiff. He paired it with a grey waistcoat and purple tie. I wore a Riki Dalal dress called Juliet which I bo ught from Eva Ashley Bridal Limited in Swansea. It was the only gown I saw before ou r day, and I had to try it on. As soon as I did, I knew it was the one. It had stunning 3 D flowers and detail running through the skirt. It was such a romantic design and fit ou r venue perfectly. I paired it with a simple veil and a necklace that Matt gave me on t he morning of the wedding. REAL WEDDINGS 39 
