Your South Wales Wedding - Page number 26 - July/August 2021 (Issue 80)

Llanerch Vineyard was the only venue we looked at. My mum and I were there having a drink, and I said I liked it, so we messaged the wedding coordination to see if I could look around, and she was available then and there. It’s a beautiful setting and close to where we lived. She showed us the marquee, and I fell in love. It was empty, so a real blank canvas, but I just loved the light, airy feel. There were also fairylights up, and my mum said that I had once told her I wanted them at my wedding, so it felt meant to be. I took Lloyd to see it, and he agreed it was perfect for us. The table plan was a large mirror that my cousin decorated. We used Welsh numbers as table names in wood and silver. Lloyd and I didn’t want too many decorations as we loved the venue so much and didn’t want to take anything away from it. We had our initials in big lights and placed blankets outside in pretty baskets. Flowers mean so much to me, and they were the main decorative touch. We chose gorgeous white and pink arrangements from Catherine Gray Flowers. We decided to have a naked cake with a few flowers. It was four layers and made up of Victoria sponge, lemon, Nutella, chocolate, peaches and champagne. Our venue provided food and drink throughout the day. We had canapés on arrival, followed by a three-course meal and a hog roast in the evening. 26
