OLD BRIDGE 01460 240 855 | www.old-bridge.co.uk This 16th-century manor with mature gardens provides a glorious backdrop to your special day. Built in the local honey-coloured ham stone, the house is close to the venue’s marquee and is integral to the whole ambience. The gardens, available for guests to enjoy, are dominated by a massive 400-year-old sweet chestnut tree, from which there hangs a triple seat swing where you can capture some memorable photos with your photographer. The venue is also blessed with formal lawns, rose beds and colourful borders. In addition, there’s a wooded area with gravel paths and a small stream flowing past weeping willows, and all the mature trees are up-lit at night. You’re welcome to use the gardens for lawn games, a bouncy castle, street food, an ice cream van, garden furniture and more. Ceremonies can take place anywhere in the grounds or in the marquee where the number of guests is, of course, unlimited. Receptions are hosted in the marquee from May to September, which has a seating capacity of 200, and comes with its own catering area and bar, stage and dancefloor. The venue offers you complete freedom to arrange your own catering, music and décor. You’ll also benefit from having access at least one day before the big day to set up and also the day after to clear away. Accommodation at Old Bridge comes in the shape of five off-grid bell tents set in an idyllic neighbouring field, that are available to hire alongside the venue. PITTVILLE PUMP ROOM 01242 528 764 | www.cheltenhamtrust.org.uk/weddings The Cheltenham Trust is the guardian of the historical Cheltenham Town Hall and Pittville Pump Room. As the lead provider of culture, heritage, arts and leisure in Cheltenham the Trust ensures that these iconic venues are tended to in every aspect and, most importantly, hosts the most lavish weddings, dances and banquets in Gloucestershire! Steeped in history and tradition, these venues offer a timeless Regency grandeur complete with breathtaking architectural detail. Pittville Pump Room is the jewel in Cheltenham’s heritage crown – a Grade I listed Regency gem. Opened in 1830, it was Cheltenham’s largest and last spa to be built. Outside, a covered colonnade, lined with ionic pillars, overlooks the sweeping lawns and the lake of Pittville Park, offering ample beautiful settings for those all-important photographs. The landmark venue boasts a magnificent hall, built as a ballroom, featuring the famed central dome decorated with ornate plasterwork from which hangs a beautiful crystal chandelier. It’s the perfect place to step back in time. Picture the elegant dancers here, hear music from the bandstand, and feel the eras of rich history that surround you. Lined on three sides by a colonnade of ionic pillars, it’s filled with an abundance of natural light. Here, you and your 200 guests have the opportunity to make your own mark on the venue’s rich history as you say “I do.” The Apse is a semi-circular room connected to the Main Hall, an ideal ceremony space for a more intimate feel. The surrounding ionic columns accentuate the venue’s regal sense of grandeur. The Apse also contains the original spa water pump, where the waters of Cheltenham were once taken. It can host 50 nearest and dearest. The Oval Room, which can also accommodate up to 50, is a beautifully ornate room named for its shape. With large windows letting an abundance of natural light flood in, it’s ideal for a small, elegant ceremony or as a private bridal suite. All three spaces are available for ceremonies and celebrations. The Trust offers a variety of upgrades to its packages including food tasting, lighting, decor and more. It also offers kitchen buyouts if you prefer your own caterer. www.katherineandhercamera.com 16
