Roxanne owns a restaurant with rooms in Llandudno, and Adam would stay there for weeks at a time while working away from home as a site manager. This is where their friendship began, and after a year or so it started to blossom into something more. Adam chose a spectacular location to propose – at the top of the Empire State Building in New York at the start of a family holiday, before hopping on a cruise around the Caribbean. This was the beginning of a seven-year engagement for the couple. “We just couldn’t find the right venue,” Roxanne explains. But eventually, Adam found Delamere Manor. “Wow! As soon as we went to see it, we just knew it was perfect and both fell in love with it. The staff, the suppliers – everyone was amazing and it felt perfect,” the bride continues. The couple decided on a colour palette of light, neutral tones to complement the venue. “It felt warm and luxurious, much like Delamere,” Roxanne shares. No stone was left unturned in finding their dream team. After taking florist Frankie at Meadow Lane through her ideas, Roxanne was delighted with the table setup and ceiling centrepiece installation she created. A Champagne tower, when placed alongside their cake and pianist in the courtyard, was a real highlight. 32
