Your North West Wedding - December/January 2023/2024 (Issue 83)

Local suppliers share the latest trends to ensure you look your big-day best With trends constantly changing and the added pressure of looking your best, we understand how overwhelming the wedding planning process can be. To help make things a bit easier, we’ve rounded up some of the region’s top suppliers and asked for their tips and trend predictions for 2024… BRIDAL BEAUTY When it comes to wedding make-up, I’ve seen more brides and their bridesmaids using a softer-coloured eyeliner in their waterline instead of the typical black or dark brown. I have been using the Makeup By Mitchell’s All Smudge No Budge Eyeliner Pencil in the shade Turnt, which is a gorgeous toasty light brown shade. There is also a rise in clients wanting a soft, smokey wing rather than a sharp and defined line; it’s so flattering on everyone! It’s super easy to do as it’s smudged, not sharp, and is followed by longer lashes to really open up your eyes. I’m also loving the hydrated and plump skin trend. I’m a huge believer that soft skin comes from within, so drinking water and even booking a round of facial treatments before your big day is a great way to ensure your skin is looking its best. If your skin is healthy, then you can use lighter coverage products such as the NARS Light Reflecting Foundation, which is a gorgeous hydrating formula that feels like it enhances your skin. Plus, it’s long-wearing, so what more could you want for your big day? Balmy lips are also a firm favourite at the moment. I’m finding brides and their parties aren’t loving full-coverage lipstick on their big day. The Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Lip Tint in Bare Pink is my absolute dream product. I have used it for years. Using it with a lip liner for a little definition and added colour is a great alternative if you want a low-maintenance lip that gives you a bit of coverage without being super bold.
