Your North West Wedding - June/July 2022 (Issue 74)

Lucie’s Cake Company made a rustic-style two-tier wedding cake decorated with fresh flowers and foliage. Our centrepieces were cylinder vases with hand-tie d posies of gypsophilia. We seated family members and groups of friends together and kept the top table traditional comprising of us, the maid-of-honour, the best man and my parents. Sadly, Scott’s parents are no longer with us, but we had a photograph of them on the table as if they were there for our special day. My bouquet was a soft hand-tied design including David Austin roses, mixed greenery, white hypericum berries and copper-coloured asparagus fern made by Posh Flowers. It matched Scott’s buttonhole perfectly, which also featured a David Austin rose with mixed greenery. For our favours, we chose strawberry and champagne flavoured lollipops from Holly’s Lollies. We also had pens with our married names on for the ladies, and engraved bottle openers for the men. From the first time we visited The Villa Levens, we felt relaxed and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and the grounds were so beautiful that we knew we would be able to have lovely photographs taken there. 40
