Your North West Wedding- Page number 39 - August/September 2021 (Issue 69)

The weather held out for us. In what had been the wettest and coldest April on record for quite a while, our wedding day was sim ply glorious. For our honeymoon, we managed to have a few da ys away in the Peak District in a self-catering cottage, but given the weather tur ned and everything was closed due to the lockdown, it’s safe to say we’re lo oking forward to having a proper honeymoon when we can! The sense of love we felt from everyone was overw helming. Everything was perfect, from the weather and food to the company and ma ke-shift church music. I asked the groomsmen to record a short speech for Chris, which was a total surprise! He still asks to watch them now, even though the wedding was months ago. They were absolute legends and made it really special. He definitely stood out being one of only four men at the wedding! My dress was called Emma from Maggie Sottero. My mum and I found it in October 2019 at Serendipity Brides in Warwickshire. I re alised that I needed to find my dress quickly, so we called Serendipity Brides, who were fully booked and explained the situation, and they managed to squeeze us in! Onc e I tried it on, I knew instantly that it was the one. REAL WEDDINGS 39
