Your North East Wedding - January/February 2023 (Issue 54)

For table names we used pictures of us in the pla ces we’ve visited together, from Costa Rica and New York to India, Ibiza a nd more. We also tried to put people on tables where the place had relevan ce to them. We weren’t too fussed about a traditional cake, so chose tray bakes from a local cake-maker instead. We went for red velvet, lemon and chocolate Biscoff flavours, which were delicious. I wore a Savin London Rebecca wedding dress. I initially tried it on and loved it, but thought it was too low cut. However, the designer was able to alter the neckline – so I had to go for it! For our favours we chose Limoncello, as I love the colour yellow and wanted it to feature heavily on the day. Matt’s mum is also obsessed with lemons, so it made sense! We chose sunflowers and daisies with cream roses. Sunflowers are my favourite flower, as I love how much they reflect summer and happiness. We wanted somewhere fairly untouched, and Ha llington Mill was charming and peaceful. We both kept looking at each other when we were shown around, with a knowing ‘this is the one’ look. 30
