My personal favourite options for winter wedding flowers include beautifully textured foliage with candlelight. Eucalyptus has wonderful ‘berries’ on it at this time of year, and mixing different greens together with candles creates a luxurious yet relaxed, wintery feel. “Dramatic colours are also great for the colder months, with deep reds and jewel tones working so beautifully together. If, however, you’re opting for white for your colour scheme, there are some fabulous bulb flowers coming up at this time of year. Hyacinth, ranunculus and narcissi all have interesting textures that look incredible when placed next to each other.” Visit www.floralquarterweddings.co.uk for more information. www.facebook.com/undertheivyflowers www.facebook.com/undertheivyflowers www.facebook.com/undertheivyflowers www.floralquarterweddings.co.uk www.melissabeattie.com www.floralquarterweddings.co.uk www.melissabeattie.com Here are a few flower facts to consider from Rebecca Taylor of Sunderland’s Under The Ivy… 1 Always book in for a final consultation with your florist to further discuss theme, colours, delivery times and anything and everything in between. It always helps to leave no stone left unturned! 2 Forward planning is key, so make sure you and your florist are on the same wavelength and they have plenty of notes about what exactly it is you’re after. 3 Remember – we get nervous too! It’s just as worrying for us florists knowing that the part we play in your day is such a large one, as you’ll have photographs and memories to cherish forever. 4 Finally, be sure to shout out about how happy you were with your flowers on social media – it gives us great joy to read how pleased you were on the day.
