Your North East Wedding - Page number 32 - November/December 2021 (Issue 47)

Food and drink options were included in the venue’s package and the team invited us to a taster evening to try the food. The venue provided wooden tables, which we decorated with rust runners, jugs of autumnal flowers on wooden logs, personalised bubbles, confetti, candles in rust holders and wooden place names. We were both attracted to The Parlour at Blagdon’s rustic styling, exclusive access and the indoor and outdoor spaces. We kept our décor minimalistic in The Smithy (the ceremony room) as the space is already full of character. We added flowers, personalised face masks, grey sashes on the chairs and a sign saying ‘spread love not germs’. Our niece was the flowergirl and she had a little sign saying, ‘Uncle Jack here comes your girl’ and a little wand for her to hold. 32
