Your Midlands Wedding - August/September 2026 (Issue 105)

Springtime sophistication Paige and Joe’s palette feels fresh and modern with springtime colour against a chic base of black. Images courtesy of Daniel Goodyear Photography Paige met Joe when he popped over to a mutual friend’s house for a cup of tea. Soon, love blossomed between the pair from this most unexpected meeting. Back in 2024, Joe proposed to Paige in the most romantic and dramatic of locations: at the top of the cathedral in Prague. “It was a complete surprise! I was completely unaware,” Paige remembers. The couple wasted no time looking for a venue to host their big day and soon fell in love with The Dower House. It allowed them to hold their ceremony and reception all in one place, and guests were able to stay the night if they wanted to, which sealed the deal for the two of them. With the date set for 22nd May 2026, Paige and Joe chose a spring-inspired palette against a black backdrop to ensure the colours sang out. The chair sashes were tied with black ribbon to mirror the bridesmaids’ multiway dresses, and the welcome sign, which stood on an easel, was designed in black and white with floral accents to match those in the centrepieces and along the aisle. Guests sat down to a wedding breakfast of roast beef at tables named after some of the flowers used in the bouquets. Great fun was had with the garden games that were laid out in the venue’s grounds for guests to enjoy while making the most of the springtime sunshine and stunning surroundings. Beautiful bride Paige wore Audrey from the Allure Romance collection. “It was the one that made me feel most comfortable and like me,” she explains. “It felt classic and timeless, and I knew it would complement the bridesmaids’ dresses so well.” The groom looked dapper in a tuxedo, with his groomsmen dressed to match. There were so many memorable moments from the big day that Paige struggled to narrow it down. “The first look - seeing each other for the first time, celebrating with all our nearest and dearest, and partying the night away,” she shares. These are all joyful moments that will undoubtedly stay with the couple for a lifetime. Having experienced her own best... day... ever, Paige has some excellent advice to help you shape your own: “Go with the flow, try not to overthink things (I know it’s hard) and enjoy every minute of it.” REAL WEDDINGS 39
