Your Midlands Wedding - April/May 2026 (Issue 103)

A cherished country home in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, Norwood Park offers a world of exclusive-use escapism for couples searching for ultimate refinement Nestled on a private country estate of more than 100 acres, Norwood Park is an elegant Georgian country house with a highly experienced events team ready to help make your wedding dreams a reality. Norwood has much to offer, from the house’s traditionally eccentric styling to the grandeur of the Clock Tower’s chandeliers; not forgetting the glorious gardens, beautiful throughout the seasons. With multiple ceremony space options, you’re spoilt for choice. Say “I do” in the Drawing Room (up to 80 guests) inside the Main House or in the Long Gallery (up to 160 guests) over in the Clock Tower. If the weather is kind, you can take advantage of the beautiful grounds and exchange vows al fresco with the spectacular bandstand being a popular choice (140 guests). When you book Norwood Park, the house, grounds and Clock Tower are yours exclusively from 12 noon until midnight. Apart from you and your guests, the only other people on site will be your dedicated events team and estate staff to ensure the day runs smoothly. Your drinks reception is the perfect time to catch up with loved ones or allow your guests to relax while you capture the day with your photographer. The venue offers bespoke drinks packages to suit a range of tastes and budgets. Drinks can be served outside on the patio or in The Bramley Bar. When it comes to post-ceremony celebrations, the venue offers a flexible choice to make your day unique. For a more intimate setting with up to 60 loved ones, you may choose to have your wedding breakfast in the stunning Georgian Dining Room inside the main house. Alternatively, should you be looking for a larger space, the Long Gallery is perfect for a sit-down meal. The Main Gallery can seat up to 120 guests, and when combined with the Anteroom a further 40 can be accommodated, totalling up to 160 guests. Dining is a passion for Norwood’s kitchen and bar teams. Whether you opt for a package or bespoke menu, they take enormous pride in the quality, taste and presentation of every dish they create. What’s more, a selection of dishes and menus can be adapted according to your personal dietary requirements. You’ll be offered a food tasting where you can sample a number of your shortlisted dishes. This will be organised by your event manager who will contact you up to six months before the big day, to give you the opportunity to sample these delicious dishes. With speeches delivered and dining done, it’s time to party with your nearest and dearest. Norwood Park has all the facilities you need for a memorable bigday bash. The Clock Tower is an ideal and spacious venue where you can celebrate in style with up to 250 guests. There’s ample room for bands with a large dance floor, full bar and courtyard for relaxing. Alternatively, if you’ve opted for a more intimate occasion, you may choose to party the night away in the main house enjoying the use of the Morning Room, Bramley Bar and Arches. Then, when you’re ready to rest your head, Norwood Park can sleep up to 47 overnight guests throughout its suites and bedrooms. Meanwhile, nestled in the grounds of the Estate there are five selfcatered properties, sleeping a further 28.
