MOTEL STUDIOS VENUE 08000 148 674 | www.motelstudios.co.uk Tucked away in a discreet location but still in the centre of Hackney, Motel Studios Venue combines industrial with urban style, blending 155-yearold brickwork with quintessential East London street art. The setting is conveniently located in Shoreditch, just seconds from Hoxton station, at the heart of East London’s creative centre. Set in two Victorian railway arches, combining exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors, high ceilings and quirky details, the interconnected spaces are as flexible as they are unique. The combination of Victorian London industrial chic and mid-century style creates interesting photographic opportunities. The venue is fully licensed for weddings and civil partnerships. Studio 1 can host up to 250 people standing, 190 in the theatre layout for the vows and 154 seated for wedding breakfasts. It’s a 2,300-squarefoot space with a large cinematic projection wall that can complement speeches and a generous kitchen space for catering. Studio 2 can host 180 people standing, 120 for the vows and 90 seated for meals. It’s the perfect setting for a break-out or lounge space to complement Studio 1, which has corridor access and can be used in its own right for ceremonies and receptions. The two rooms also allow lovebirds to create a seamless experience by hosting the vows in one space and receptions in another. Both benefit from disabled and drive-in access, so they are perfectly positioned for generous load-in of furniture or themed props. STATIONERS’ HALL AND GARDEN 02072 460 999 | www.stationershall.co.uk Stationers’ Hall is imposing yet intimate, historic yet elegant and surprisingly flexible. With a history dating back to the 16th-century, the venue offers a seamless blend of welcoming warmth and striking grandeur tucked away from the hustle and bustle of St Paul’s. Around every corner is a reminder of London’s rich and fascinating history in a capital city that never sleeps. Guests can make the most of their visit with the classic tourist hotspots or continue the historic theme and find hidden treasures within. The Court Room is a beautiful space ideal for smaller, more intimate weddings of up to 120 guests. The beautiful ceremony room is wonderfully bright, richly carpeted and features Rococo ornamentation in gold adorning the walls. It’s dominated by the 18th-century carved mantelpiece, which is a feature that will impress guests. Particularly popular for summer celebrations, guests can go directly into the Garden for drinks receptions and those all-important photos. Rich in seasonal plants and flowers, it offers welcome shelter come rain or shine. The venue’s centrepiece is the Great Hall, steeped in history and serving as an atmospheric backdrop for grand entrances. Gleaming oak floors, carved oak panelling from the 1600s and stained-glass windows give the room a striking presence. Accommodating up to 200 people for wedding breakfasts and licensed for live music/entertainment in the evenings, it’s the ideal setting for memorable moments. When hiring Stationers’ Hall, couples will exclusively use the spaces! An in-house caterer can manage the food and drink, while a dedicated wedding planner will help with logistics. Once pairs have selected their catering package, a complimentary tasting is offered eight weeks before weddings. Still, there’s also flexibility for pairs to bring their own alcohol with a corkage fee. Also, the team has plenty of suppliers to recommend if needed.
