Your London Wedding - September/October 2022 (Issue 85)

I’m writing this with a month of celebrations on the horizon. September is the month of my next milestone birthday – the big 4-0 (or 39 plus one as I like to say when I’m feeling in denial!). In all seriousness I’m quite looking forward to it – although I don’t feel 40 years old, it feels like I’m officially entering adulthood and I’m good with that, I’m ready for it (I think). But the main thing I’m looking forward to is all the events that are planned. From meals out with numerous bunches of friends to weekends away and a couple of holidays abroad too, it’s all so exciting. If you’re like me and you love to have things to look forward to, planning your wedding’s just that! A huge event on the horizon where you get to call the shots, create the day of your dreams, and throw one heck of a party. So right now, I’m with you in the buzz of excitement and planning and I’m loving every minute – hope you are too! For some, planning big events doesn’t come with as much enjoyment and it can feel overwhelming, but fear not, we’re here to help. For venue inspiration, head to page 21 for our selection of top dreamy and waterside settings. We have four stunning real weddings from page 33 as well as two local shoots on pages 69 and 85, all brimming with ideas and beautiful love stories. Say yes to the dress at one of our bridal boutiques over on page 57 and if you’re not hungry, you will be once you’ve read the A-Z guide of all things catering and sweet treats on page 63. The planning part of your big day is the start of something special, this is where you get the wheels in motion and start to make the magic happen in readiness for the grand spectacle – so whether you’re loving it or feeling a little under pressure, take a moment to breathe, own it, embrace it and love it… it’ll only happen the once (hopefully!) so make it count! Happy planning! Sarah x arah Gallivan, Editor Exciting plans I love this styling for an autumnal wedding. I headed to the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel for a night of indulgence.
