CHERISHED MEMORIES “For our favours we created boxes for our guests that included gold trinket pomegranates, sweets and a gold chain with hanging evil eye,” says Neda. Throughout the day they entertained friends and family with music-a-plenty. A string quartet played traditional music during the ceremony and drinks reception and a DJ played a mix of English music with a hint of Persian heritage so they could experience both during the evening party. “We also hired a photobooth, which went down a treat! It kept the guests entertained and we ended up with great photos and a signed album in the end, which we’ll cherish forever” she says. A DAY TO REMEMBER “The ceremony was without a doubt the most amazing moment of the day. This is what it was all about – coming together as one. Our Persian ceremony was also beautiful, and it involved multiple family members. It felt so wholesome,” says Neda. “The speeches were also special. Each person did a tremendous job with every message coming straight from the heart.” For Neda and Pedram, their day was perfect and full of emotion. “Apart from the usual nerves, this was the best day of our lives. It was surreal that we were getting married and that all our loved ones were there from all ends of the world,” she says. “It was hard to keep the emotions away. From the moment you walk down the aisle, the emotions kick in and you feel this is it. We enjoyed every single second; it was the happiest day of our lives.” REAL WEDDINGS 39
