The open-plan layout offered a lounge area with plush seating, framed by dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows and luxurious curtains, allowing for plenty of natural light while maintaining privacy. The bed delivered unparalleled comfort, thanks to the Icelandic eiderdown duvet that wrapped us in luxury paired with cloud-like pillows and a large TV. An arm’s length away sat a well-stocked minibar, a Nespresso coffee machine and teamaking facilities. There was even an array of lighting settings by the bed for every moment of the day. The spacious bathroom was lavish, with marble finishes throughout for the ultimate escape. From indulgent soaks in the large jet bath, complete with luxurious toiletries and bath salts, to the rainforest walk-in shower that washed away every worry, it was pure bliss. Plush robes and slippers added to the comfort, while underfloor heating ensured we stayed warm before heading out for dinner. DELICATE BITES L’oscar Restaurant impresses from the moment you step inside, with a showstopping illuminated onyx bar, mirrored ceilings, gilded panels and striking original artwork, creating a sophisticated setting perfect for celebrating life’s special moments. Once seated in lavish chairs within the softly lit room, we eagerly browsed the menu of contemporary cuisine. While enjoying fresh bread sipping Champagne, I finally settled on the Popcorn Shrimp, which was tender, zesty and flavourful, paired with a spicy mayonnaise that balanced the heat perfectly. Light, crunchy and bursting with flavour. Next came the Truffle Rigatoni, perfectly al dente pasta coated in a rich, creamy sauce with a generous helping of shaved truffle. Absolute carb heaven! For dessert, I opted for a simple yet indulgent bowl of ice cream with scoops of vanilla, fior di latte, and amarena cherry and pecan served with a wafer biscuit and fresh raspberries. It was a beautifully balanced dessert in sweetness, richness and texture. We ended the evening with salted caramel shortbread, which I still think about now, before hobbling to bed with very full and happy stomachs. A huge shout-out to the waiting staff, who delivered faultless service throughout while ensuring glasses were never empty and every need was met without ever feeling imposing. They truly enhanced the experience for us both. BREAKFAST BLISS After a perfect night’s rest, I began the morning with a quick soak in the tub before heading down for a breakfast fit for royalty. With the gentle clatter of cutlery and soft chatter of guests sharing life’s special moments, it was the ideal start to the day. The Vegetarian English Breakfast did not disappoint. It was fresh, varied and beautifully presented. Think perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, charred halloumi, creamy avocado, plum vine tomatoes, portobello mushrooms, crispy hash browns and hot baked beans, paired with toast, jams and butter. Not to mention the flaky selection of pastries calling my name, which went down a treat alongside freshly squeezed orange juice. We were fuelled and ready for a full day exploring London. THE FINAL VERDICT Overall, we had the most magical stay, elevated by an incredible team who ensured everything ran like clockwork while making each guest feel truly special. L’oscar London offers something extraordinary, a home away from home, beautifully elevated with every detail considered for an unforgettable experience. Leaving was bittersweet, but we already can’t wait to return and create many more unforgettable memories. REVIEW STAY 93
