These went down a treat and I’d definitely recommend this style of dining instead of a formal three course meal. My mum got us a lovely three-tier cake, but because we were having so much fun, we never even cut it! “We had an amazing reception. We still get people tell us even now that considering the whole was pulled together in 10 days, it was one of the best they’d been to. Our DJ was Tony R with one of his Soul Town festival signers and an amazing saxophonist, so it really felt like our own Ibiza party in Kent. The saxophone player was a real highlight for us. He got everyone up and dancing, creating such a great atmosphere.” “As the reception was at my mum’s house our wedding was pretty informal with no table plan. But we did have tables dressed in gypsophila set up in a gazebo where people could sit and take refuge from the sun. These were later moved to make way for the dancefloor. “Our flowers were big white roses, which I’d always wanted as I feel they’re classic and timeless. I made a welcome sign using pampas grass and gold vinyl to complement our theme. We also hired a white flower wall with gold balloons.” 52
