Its elegant facade is typical of the era with its dolls-house symmetry and double oak doors. It sits on the edge of beautiful formal gardens, which in turn are surrounded by 100 acres of National Trust estate. Set at the end of a sweeping driveway the house offers its own prettily planted formal gardens and lawns – perfect for drinks receptions and outdoor vows. There’s also a walled garden and a wild flower meadow all surrounded by fields, orchards and ponds. Ceremonies for up to 60 guests can take place in the ornate Yellow Room with French doors that open onto the main lawn. Outdoor ceremonies on the formal lawns can accommodate up to 120 seated. Drinks receptions take place in the Georgian reception rooms of the house as well as in the formal gardens. The wedding breakfast and evening entertainment are both hosted in the luxury canvas pole marquee for 120 loved ones. Alternatively, intimate wedding breakfasts and celebrations for 36 can take place in the Mansion. Wedding parties of up to 10 guests are accommodated on site for two nights and can opt to stay for up to three or four nights.
