When it came to my dress, I knew I wanted something unique! It was a lot harder than I thought, but it worked out amazingly and Hannah did an amazing job of bringing my vision to life. I had my hair in two plaits, joined in the middle with a bridal hair accessory laid on top from Jane Bourvis, something my mum found for me second hand! I found old hymn numbers in a French antique store and used these for table numbers. I painted little wooden cube as holders in a dusty/dark pink. I also bought a range of coloured fabric and ripped the sheets into pieces to tie on to the wisteria in the glasshouse room. We of course had to go with a red Ford Mustang as our getaway car! I had my dress custom-made by Hannah Svedberg of For Elvin Design using pieces of my mum’s vintage Laura Ashley wedding dress and other vintage Laura Ashley wedding dresses that my mum had in her collection. I wanted something I felt comfortable in and had a whimsical flowy vibe with details of lace. We went for a three-tiered wedding cake; bottom layer raspberry and vanilla, middle layer lemon and poppyseed, and the third layer red velvet. The cake had a minimalistic design with off-white buttercream and edible flowers to fit the theme. 35 REAL WEDDINGS
