Your Kent Wedding - January/February 2024 (Issue 112)

It’s all about the little details on page 57. Winter weddings are really coming in to their own; couples are embracing the autumnal hues, the cosy atmosphere and the delish hearty food options on offer at this time of year! The best thing about a winter wedding for me, is that you know what you’re letting yourself in for when it comes to the weather. I tied the knot in February (a few years ago now!), and although I kept an eye on the weather apps, I couldn’t be disheartened when the heavens opened and it rained most of the day. It didn’t change the day at all, we dashed outside with brollies for some pictures, and we celebrated the whole day in a gorgeous venue without a care what happening in the world outside. We were in wedded bliss whatever the weather, so don’t worry if you too have a wedding in the coming months – I hear rain on the wedding day is lucky anyway! Here’s what you have to look forward to this issue: we have hotel wedding venues on page 27 (perfect for winter nuptials), and a feature looking at finishing touches to complete your day– be inspired on page 57. If you’re embarking on your wedding dress (or jumpsuit!) search, then check out our bridal fashion features from page 61 to 72 where we help you with this daunting task. What’s more, our Wedding Planning article starting on page 51 will answer all your planning woes. Our real wedding couples this issue all talk about their dream days, so from pages 31 to 46 there could be some ideas you want to pinch and apply to your own virtual moodboard.
