We also asked our Polynesian friends to perform their traditional dance and Steve spent weeks learning it so he could join them. It was lovely seeing all of their hard work come together.” Instead of throwing the bouquet, which Hannah understandably wanted to have preserved, they threw a rugby ball as a nod to Steve’s past as a semi-pro player. They personalised it to read, “You’re next,” and threw it out to their unmarried guests. Steve’s sister caught it, so keep an eye out to see if she’s the next real wedding we feature! The couple were thrilled to have their dog Bonnie with them on the big day. “We didn’t even know there was such a thing as a dog chaperone service before going to a wedding fair, and we’re so glad we found them so that Bonnie could be included. By the end of the day I think she ended up preferring her chaperone to us!” Hannah laughs. 40
