Q&A Beauty Look and feel your big-day best with help from the professionals BOHO BABE I’m going for a relaxed boho vibe for my wedding. What hair and make-up looks would be most fitting? Laetitia says: The boho style is still a popular trend. With a cool, laid back and informal vibe, it works well with a festival theme, so a natural and sun-kissed make-up will suit. Go for glowing skin that captures the light. Apply radiance primers such as Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter underneath your foundation to achieve lit-from-within skin. Dial up the glow with a shimmering powder highlighter applied to the cheekbones, down the centre of the nose and on the cupid’s bow. Delilah’s Pure Light Illuminating Powder is one of my favourites. Eyes always need extra definition on your wedding day, to register on camera and to balance your dress and hair style. Choose shades to enhance their colour, keep lines soft and well blended, add fluttery eyelashes or semi-permanent extensions, and remember to define and sweep up your brows using a gel to hold in place. Use a lovely warm bronzer swept where the sun naturally catches to contour the cheeks, which works wonders, and don’t forget to add that vital healthy glow with a blusher. I love corals like Delilah’s Clementine, NARS’ Torrid, Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess and Delilah’s Sunset Bronzer. Natural lips and a slick of lip gloss would finish this look perfectly. Try Charlotte Tilbury’s In Love With Olivia, Dance Floor Princess and Glowing Jen from the Hot Lips Refillable range with Lip Lustre in Portobello Girl, and Delilah’s Flirt and Nude Lip Wardrobe. For the more adventurous, why not really embrace the boho vibe and go for some adornments around the eyes, like tiny pearls or jewels glued in place. Delicate flowers and petals could be drawn on the cheekbones for that modern, hippy look. You could even have a beautiful floral artwork drawn directly onto your back if you’re wearing a backless dress or consider a temporary tattoo for an eye-catching statement. Is it possible for them to have a trial too? What can we do to make them feel comfortable? Katie says: We totally understand that everyone in your bridal party will have their own concerns regarding how they’ll look on your wedding day. So, our aim is to ensure you all feel comfortable and confident at such an important event. We’d encourage you to save photos of the type of look you prefer, even using Pinterest to create a board to share with your hair stylist and make-up artist. This way, your beauty team is able to ensure they fully understand the desired effect, making sure you’re all on the same page. We also recommend saving styles or looks you don’t like, as this all helps to build a clear picture of your likes and dislikes, as well as those of your bridesmaids. We can offer hair and make-up trials for everyone in your I-do crew, something that offers reassurance for all, as well as helping to make sure a cohesive look is achieved, with the bridal party make-up and styling complementing the bride’s. Beautiful photos are guaranteed! 84
