Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - January/February 2022 (Issue 90)

Inspired by the stunning transformation of what was once an old cow barn and goat pen, this stunning photo shoot paints a perfect picture of bridal elegance. Set at new Hampshire wedding venue Palais des Vaches Gallery in Lower Exbury, the beautiful surroundings and one-of-kind backdrop provided a unique canvas for local suppliers to work their magic. Overlooking the Solent and Isle of Wight, the venue launched in July 2021 in all its art-gallery glory offering a wealth of standout spaces for weddings with a difference. Shoot and wedding coordinator Hampshire-based Natasha Gilchrist said, “It was obvious the styling should incorporate the artwork and to make a feature of the gallery, as well as the beautiful location by the Beaulieu River. Combining sculptures with paintbrushes and picture frames draped in florals, as well as an art-inspired wedding cake and stationery, it all worked perfectly within the gallery setting. We wanted the colour scheme to feel warm and soft not only to suit the autumnal, wintry time of year, but also to give it that sense of grandeur. Choosing mustard, sage and rust as our main colours, mixed with a hint of blush pink, tangerine and gold, gave the shoot the arty bridal opulence we were aiming for.” 48
