Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding - Page number 45 - July/August 2021 (Issue 87)

My daughters were bridesmaids and they looked fantastic in their fuchsia pink dresses. Their shoes were dyed green to match the leaves of the flowers on my dress. After the ceremony we had a celebratory drink in the Palace Ruins in Bishop’s Waltham – we love it there! As soon as I saw Rookesbury Park, I knew I wanted to hold our reception there. It’s full of character and in a beautiful setting. I met the lovely Mary from Twirl Bridal at a wedding fair at Rookesbury Park and as soon as I saw my Loulou dress I loved it. It looked great on – very ‘me’ and wonderfully flattering for a curvy lady! It had big fuchsia pink appliqué flowers and I had my shoes dyed to match. “We had family to play and sing in the church and at the Palace Ruins afterwards.” I loved walking from the church down the high street to the Palace Ruins with all our guests following behind.
