Your Hampshire & Dorset Wedding - Jan/Feb 2018 (Issue 72)

TASHA’S TOP TIPS: ❤ Capri tents look beautiful with the sides up to make the most of the open space. ❤ Outdoor marquee weddings allow you to bring the outside in. ❤ Matching your ideas and décor to your venue and its surroundings can help tie everything together. ❤ Why not be creative and make your own props? Wooden pallets are great for creating your own signage, including the order of the day and the table plan. THE GREAT OUTDOORS Al fresco weddings and summer wedfests are all the rage with continued love for informal chilled celebrations expected for the year ahead. On-the-day wedding coordinator Natasha Gilchrist of Tasha-Mae says, “At Erin and Krzysieks lovely wedding at Gins Barn in Beaulieu they not only had use of the barn, but had free rein to do what they liked with the space outside.” allisterfreeman.co.uk Rachel Pertee at Love By Design Weddings styled this on-trend wedfest at Charisworth Farm, Dorset. RACHEL’S TOP TIPS ❤ The more colour the better! We filled the marquee ceiling with coloured lanterns and pom poms. ❤ Don’t forget your wellies! Use them to hold flowers or sparklers. ❤ Create coloured jars using food dye mixed into PVA glue and hang them in trees, use as chair ends and on the tables as funky candle holders. ❤ Hire an outside bar, hay bales, bell tents, festoon lighting, flags and, of course, toilets! ❤ Have a glitter station.
