We had an amazing DJ and a few songs performed by Nat’s cousin Tom, who’s in a band. Nat and Tom are really close, so it meant the world that he brought John’s guitar to play some songs for everyone. It was so emotional as people were singing, swaying, and crying. Everyone loves Tom! We’re not massive fans of cake, so we went with cheesecake and brownies instead! For our honeymoon, we went to Tenerife for two weeks, and it was absolutely amazing. We planned it together and had the best mix of fun and relaxation. We went jet skiing, rode buggies up Mount Teide at sunset, visited a water park and zoo, and even tried kayaking—turns out I’m not a fan! The sunset buggy trip was the highlight: it was freezing and windy at the top, but such a surreal, unforgettable experience. One of the most special things was the time we got to spend together, just us two. Having our portraits taken gave us a chance to pause and soak everything in. We had such a laugh—driving golf buggies around the course, snapping silly photos, and even sneaking along some pizza! Growing up, I had a complicated relationship with my mum (who was invited—long story), and it affected my self-image. But once I had my dress on, with hair and make-up done, I finally felt like me. I felt like I deserved all the happiness I was feeling. 40
