MULTI AWARD WINNING WEDDING HAIRSTYLIST For romantic, elegant timeless hairstyles, please get in touch @kimsandfordhairdressing | kimsandfordhairdressing.co.uk We asked wedding hairdresser Kim Sandford what advice she would give to brides when choosing a wedding hairstyle that lasts beautifully from the ceremony through to the dancefloor The secret to a wedding hairstyle that truly lasts is preparation, and it starts long before the big day. First, come to your appointment with clean, dry hair that’s completely free of product. No dry shampoo, no serums, no oils. These create a barrier that makes it harder to grip and style, and they significantly affect longevity. Second, be honest about your hair at the trial. If your hair drops curls quickly or struggles to hold a style, tell me! That’s exactly what the trial is for. Every hair type behaves differently, and working with your natural texture rather than against it is one of the biggest factors in how well a style lasts. We can test techniques, use the right products, and if needed, discuss whether clip-in extensions might give you the hold and volume to keep everything in place all day. Third, think about your day realistically. If you’re planning a lot of dancing, a securely pinned updo might actually feel more comfortable and last better than loose waves. If you want your hair down, the right prep and products make all the difference. And finally, trust your stylist. A good bridal hairdresser isn’t just creating a look for the aisle. They’re thinking about how it photographs in natural light, how it holds through an emotional ceremony, and how it still looks beautiful when you hit the dancefloor at midnight. If you’re planning your wedding in Hertfordshire and beyond, I’d love to be part of your day. ASK THE EXPERT! ENQUIRE NOW! 07717 291 666 kimsandfordhairdressing.co.uk
