Olivia and Jamie met at work. “Jamie was my section leader and I remember thinking he was arrogant and I didn’t understand why everyone else liked him!” Olivia tells us. “After a few months, we started talking and I saw a softer side of him once he started talking about Patch, his rescue dog. Five years later, he finally asked me to marry him!” Jamie adds, “Olivia asked if I needed someone to walk Patch and I said yes – the rest is history!” Jamie proposed a few weeks before Christmas in 2020. “I had been working from home all day and when Jamie got home, we took our two dogs for a walk,” Olivia tells us. “While we were out, he had arranged for a friend to sneak into our house to set the scene ready for a proposal! I was so surprised and confused when I opened the door, Jamie had to guide me into the house so he could get down on one knee.” SETTING THE SCENE As soon as the couple saw The Pear Tree online, they knew it was the place for them to get married. “The décor was simple and elegant and the rooms were bright and filled with natural light,” Olivia tells us. “We used a combination of small and medium-sized lanterns to line the aisle which were then used “I knew the day was going to be perfect because I was marrying the love of my life, and nothing else mattered.” - Olivia REAL WEDDINGS 37
