Your Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Wedding - December/January 2023/2024 (Issue 42)

shoes a dainty pearl tiara. Kurtis wore a light-brown and grey tweed three-piece suit using the waistcoat to differentiate from his groomsmen. “I wanted to fit in with the aesthetic of the venue and I also wanted my suit to look muted because the dress is more important!” Kurtis says. “Our three groomsmen were my best man and my two brothers who all wore hire suits similar to mine without a waistcoat. My youngest brother, Louis wore a child’s suit with the addition of a clip-on cravat.” Trang adds, “I wanted our bridesmaids to be happy and confident in their dresses, so I allowed them to pick the styles they wanted to wear from a selection. They agreed on the elegant sage-green colour so that was the shade we went with in different styles.” TIME TO CELEBRATE “We both love movies made by Studio Ghibli, a Japanese animation studio so we wanted to have Ghibli music for our special day,” Trang says. “It was difficult finding local wedding musicians who play it, but we were very lucky to have found the Aderyn String Quartet. Their example performance was amazing, one of the members even had Ghibli music for his wedding, so we knew we booked the right musicians. Their performance made me cry happy tears as I walked down the aisle to Promise of the World – I wanted my dad to slow down whilst walking to make the most of it!” “It was a wonderful moment when we got our photographs back and were able to relive everything, including things guests were doing while we were preoccupied. All the big moments were captured brilliantly and will be a wonderful representation of what our wedding like was for decades to come.” - Trang and Kurtis 40
