Your Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Wedding - December/January 2023/2024 (Issue 42)

“Our beautiful bridesmaids liked different styles so I was keen to pick something they would all feel comfortable and look amazing in. We chose silk A-line jumpsuits with a flattering halterneck and flutter sleeves and they looked great!” - Sammy and Graeme “All of the staff at Larmer Tree, but particularly our wedding coordinator Katy, did such an amazing job. No request was too much trouble and she made sure that the correct meals reached guests with allergens, re-arranged our décor throughout the day and communicated in the lead-up to our wedding and on the day itself.” - Sammy and Graeme “A highlight was having a ceilidh band perform during the evening. It relies on a ‘caller’ explaining each of the dances, demonstrating them and then everyone having a go which was so much fun!” - Sammy and Graeme Top tip: “You can’t be too organised. Print out a detailed list of events including timings and jobs for members of your wedding party. Most people want to help, so lean on them.” - Sammy and Graeme “I purchased my suit and hired the groomsmen’s suits, which were the same style, from Moss Bros. This was convenient because everyone was spread across the country, so fitting, collecting and returning to any store made it very useful. My suit was tailored with a different lining and I wore the same tie, shoes and stag cufflinks as my groomsmen.” - Graeme “I found my evening dress at a pay-by-weight vintage fair several years before and planned to sell it for a quick profit, but for whatever reason that didn’t feel right so I kept it hidden away; I knew that somehow I would end up wearing it as part of my wedding. I’m so glad I did! When we started the ceilidh dancing, a quick change ensured I could dance comfortably!” - Sammy 34
