Your Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Wedding - December/January 2023/2024 (Issue 42)

Georgia and Nathan met at work. “A friend of ours at the Christmas party told me that Nathan had a little soft spot for me and the rest was history from that evening,” Georgia tells us. “Nathan asked me to marry him four years later in Bath which was the perfect place because it’s where he had taken me for our first ever weekend away. We spent an amazing day together enjoying a meal at The Ivy during the evening. On the walk back to our hotel room, Nathan got down on one knee and proposed which was a wonderful moment.” SETTING THE SCENE “We loved the contemporary monochrome feel that The Pear Tree Purton offered – the interior looked so chic,” Georgia tells us. “It made styling our special day much easier because it set the tone for our minimalistic, timeless, black and white theme and we knew that everything would coordinate well.” Georgia and Nathan were seated at a top table with their parents and daughter and had a further eight tables of between 10 and 12 guests. “We used table numbers and printed Polaroid pictures of our guests for their place settings,” Georgia explains. “The pictures were of each guest with Nathan or myself and everybody loved them - it was one of my favourite things that I incorporated into our wedding day. Another personalised touch was the shortbread favours with our newly married surname printed on.” The couple chose Etiquette Events to dress the venue and Scan to view video www.erinocainfilm.com “Having our wedding planner Georgina removed any stress on the day and during the lead-up to it, meaning that we could just enjoy ourselves. It ran flawlessly thanks to her.” - Georgia and Nathan REAL WEDDINGS 25
