Your Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Wedding- Page number 32 - June/July 2021 (Issue 27)

Because we wanted floral chandeliers suspen ded from the ceiling of the barn, we commissioned Beth from Go Wild Flowers to create them. I wanted large colourful bloom s and have always adored hydrangeas so I wanted these includ ed. As we were having a colourful wedding theme, we chose big and bold varieties with plenty of rustic-style foliage to suit the rustic feel of the barn. My father is an artist and Rob works with tr opical fish so we commissioned my dad to paint all of Rob’s fa vourites and had them printed on to aluminium and displayed on mini easels as our centrepieces which looked great. The table names were the Latin names for all of the different types of fish. Our beautiful bridesmaids all wore dresses i n different colours the same as those chosen for the hydrangea fl owers. Two were in sky-blue gowns, two were in pale pink, one w as in a coral shade and the other one wore a deep-purple dress. Because they all have their individual style, I wanted them to wear the multiway dresses however they wanted. It was important to m e that the girls all felt comfortable and confident in what they wer e wearing. My Emmy London bridal shoes featured stunning crystals at the back. Because we wanted our guests to have plenty of fun, we hired garden games including croquet which the little ones loved as much as the adults! I surprised my new husband by having a mini table tennis decorated with the paintwork that my father had created for our wedding invitations. The bats featured our initials and wedding date. Our flowergirls looked so pretty in their dresses and sashes which matched the adult bridesmaid dress colours belonging to their mums. I loved my colourful bridal bouquet. Our pageboys were my half-brothers who were three and five years old at the time of our wedding. They wore the cutest seersucker suits with shorts from M&S teamed with dinosaur Converse trainers, braces and bow ties. I wore a gown called Masha by Enzoani. As soon as I tried it on, I knew she was the one. It featured a low back, lace detail and had a statement train. A big bonus was that it felt comfortable! I knew that I would be doing plenty of dancing so I had to keep that in mind. 32
