the blue Martin and Christine’s wedding was a winter wonderland dream Images courtesy of Pink Photographics OUT OF Martin and Christine met in their local Co-op, which was a surprise for them both. “It just goes to show that these things can happen when you least expect them!” shares Martin. He adds, “There was an immediate mutual connection between us both. After chatting, I remember walking back to my car and thinking ‘wow, now that was a thunderbolt’.” Christine comments, “Straight away I loved Martin’s smile and his friendly sense of humour – I just knew that I wanted to be with him.” The proposal for Martin didn’t quite go as expected. He explains, “I managed the impossible in getting the proposal completely right and completely wrong at the same time by not sticking to my original plan! With Covid-19 still around, I was at home with Christine while she was on a video call with her work friends. Although I’d anticipated proposing over dinner in the time honoured manner, but in a moment of mischief I thought it would be a great time to do the deed. The moment was priceless and fortunately for me, she said yes!” Christine adds, “The timing was a surprise and it was a lovely fun moment – it was always going to be a ‘yes’.
