Your East Midlands Wedding - December 2021/January 2022 (Issue 47)

As we both teach PE and play sport ourselves, we thought it would be great to name each table after a different activity. We provided a sweet/popcorn table for the evening, which consisted of the treats that Tom and I love to eat. I picked a Rebecca Ingram Bardot-style dress with a pearl and diamante belt to add some subtle bling. The gown was so comfortable, and I felt like a million dollars on the day! The groom and groomsmen wore three-piece suits with a pocket square, which matched the colour scheme. It was amazing to have both of our girls there with us on the day. The venue’s events manager was great and really helpful throughout the whole planning process. The bridesmaids wore full-length dresses in vintage mauve, while the flowergirls had ivory dresses with sashes. We had very talented musicians serenading our guests while creating a relaxed atmosphere during the drinks reception. REAL WEDDINGS 41
